Liverpool are interested in signing defender Hato and have held talks with Ajax over a potential deal this summer. Duncan Castles told that the Dutch giants are open to selling the teenager, who has already been capped six times by the Netherlands.

Hato has become a mainstay in the Ajax team since making his senior debut in January 2023, wracking up 124 appearances while still a teenager. He scored twice and contributed six assists in 31 Eredivisie matches last season and has been playing at centre-back during the Netherlands Under-21s' European Championship campaign.
