As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A side are interested in signing Reyna on a loan deal ahead of the January transfer deadline. While the interest shown is very fresh, La Viola will have to act quickly as the midfielder has already received interest from Premier League side Nottingham Forest and Marseille as well as Sevilla.

Speaking to the media after his side's recent win over Bochum, Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic said: "Gio is a fantastic player. Of course, he’s not happy when he’s not playing. You could see that Gio is capable of influencing the game from the bench. He was very confident on the ball, managed to create a few dangerous situations, but was a bit unlucky with his finishing in one or two situations."

The Dortmund boss then elaborated that he hopes that Reyna stays, and is available to him for the rest of the season. "I haven’t heard anything else. Gio is under contract, Gio is our player."

Reyna's playing time has significantly decreased this season, with just 318 minutes in all competitions, despite his substantial contributions to Dortmund's previous season. The acquisition of Ian Maatsen and Jadon Sancho has further complicated his situation by increasing the level of competition in the attacking department.

WHAT NEXT FOR REYNA?

With Terzic expecting Reyna to be available to him later this week for their Heidenheim, the club will clearly try to deflect all interest from other clubs this late in the transfer window. However, an internal push from the 21-year-old could help his exit.
