Jose Mourinho has named two Tottenham Hotspur players who have really impressed him since his appointment in November, per Sky Sports.
What’s the word?
The Portuguese took over with the club in 14th and they have since climbed to within four points of the top four.
Mourinho has overseen five defeats in all competitions in total, against Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Southampton, and Liverpool.
But the report states that, if the table began when the ex-Chelsea boss took over, Spurs would be level on points with third-placed Leicester City.

And both Son Heung-Min and Lucas Moura have particularly impressed him as the club have attempted to overcome a number of setbacks, including various injuries to the likes of striker Harry Kane and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
He said: “We as a team in the last few weeks are showing a certain mentality. This season has been hard for them. Even before I arrived.
“They lost the captain Hugo Lloris for a long period. Then progressively you lose another player. Then another one. Then another one.
“But the way the team has fought has made me even prouder of them. People like Son and Lucas going to their limits and giving absolutely everything. Injured players trying to give everything.
“The spirit is amazing.”
Two excellent wingers
Lucas has played in every Premier League game under Mourinho, scoring three goals, while Son has played whenever he has been available for selection; he did miss three matches after his sending off against Chelsea.
Since then, he has scored vital goals against both Norwich City and Manchester City.
Both players have worked particularly hard under the Portuguese – Lucas has been particularly sacrificial under Mourinho given the way he is playing, while Son has been in prolific form in recent weeks.
It will surely be a boost for the pair that they have been singled out for particular praise by their manager and they will surely be integral to the club as the season continues.
Their chase of Chelsea, in fourth-place, is likely to go right down to the wire.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ Player of the Season has to be clear!
