Hamilton and Russell attended the screening of England's Euro 2024 quarter-final clash against Switzerland on Saturday along with a packed Silverstone crowd. As soon as Trent Alexander-Arnold netted the winning penalty in the tie-breaker, the two F1 stars erupted in joy along with the fans.

The Three Lions picked up yet another hard-fought victory in the European Championship as they marched on to the last-four stage. Breel Embolo broke the deadlock for the Swiss in the 75th minute but their lead lasted for just five minutes as Bukayo Saka netted the equaliser with a brilliant strike. In the tie-breaker, all five English penalty takers were spot on with their respective shots while Manchester City's Manuel Akanji missed his kick, resulting in a 5-3 win for England.

Southgate's side will now face Ronald Koeman's Netherlands in the semi-final on Wednesday at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. The Dutch came back from behind to beat Turkey 2-1 to progress.
