A hearing is set to commence in mid-September – brought forward from an original start date of November due to the Premier League's desire to see the case resolved as quickly as possible – but an independent commission is expected to take some time before announcing its decision.

The hearing will last around 10 weeks, with both the Premier League and City outlining their case to the commission. They will then consider all evidence provided and announce their outcome. Given the volume of the charges and the amount of information that will be presented, it's believed that a decision will be published in March at the earliest.
