Brazil U17 side hammered North Caledonia 9-0 in the ongoing 2023 U17 World Cup on Tuesday. Palmeiras wonder Estevao Willian – fondly known as 'Messinho' – was on target for the Selecao while Kaua Elias netted a hat-trick.

The Brazilians dominated the game as they took an incredible 81 shots at goal, which is the highest number of shots recorded at the U17 World Cup since 2013, when Ivory Coast took 42 shots against New Zealand.
Despite creating a record at the World Cup, Brazil's final goals tally was less than that of England, who scored 10 past the same opponent earlier in the group with just 39 shots on goal.
